goodbye summer-synth-pop-dubstep

And hello fabulous-fall-pseudo-80s-pop hits!!!

I was sitting at my desk last night thinking about this summer and all the wonderful music I was blessed to have heard. Going through my playlist from 2 months ago it dawned on me that most of the summer was taken up by psychotrance artists (A&B, Lange Remixes, Oliver Smith, etc..) and a shit ton of dubstep remixes (most notably Udachi's "We Own thew Sky" remix heard here). Then I guess Discovery took up too much of my time with their amazing Lp and I forgot about the pseudo-80s fun that should have been.

But that's all taken care of thanks to a fun little sweedish pop band that I stumbled upon around 3am on Binary's blog. It brought me right out of my depressed "what the fuck am i doing up at this time dicking around online?!" mentality. Binary put it so well I'll just quote him on this one.

" Time' is one part 80's freestyle hit, one part Jackson Five, and one part dreamy Sweedish Pop. If your curiosity levels aren't raising yet, there's something wrong with you."

And boy is he right! This song lifted my spirits and got me out of my chair shaking my ass and feeling the same as when I first heard "Into the Groove" for the first time. If it doesn't do the same for all you who are wishing summer would last just a little longer then have a few drinks, lighten up a bit, and turn this bouncy little tune up even louder! That should do the trick!!

I know what song I'm going to blast on my way to the beach for those indian-summer-heat-wave September days!!! So sit back, close your eyes, and remember all those heat waves and drunken nights lying naked on your floor that made this lazy, crazy summer what it was!

Enjoy...
